What are your wedding day rates? Please contact us through the contact form above to receive information about our rates & our associate’s rates.
How would you describe your style? We focus our efforts on telling the story of your wedding day through moments. Quite simply put, we love moments, big and small, from your best man getting down on the dance floor to your father fixing your veil just before you walk down the aisle. We like to be in the action capturing these moments while attempting to stay unobtrusive.
Do you shoot details and family formals? Absolutely. Before the wedding day we will finalize family formal list so we know who to cover and we always make sure to cover all the details that make your wedding gorgeous.
Why should we hire you? Because we take photos that show who you two are as a couple; when you show your kids your wedding photos they can get to know who you were when you got married. We are experienced, having shot over 250 weddings each, extremely passionate about photography, and truly love weddings. Lastly, we want you to relive your wedding day every time you look through your wedding album.
What is your back story? We both majored in fine art photography at Texas State University & began shooting weddings part time in 2007. After graduating in 2008 we started our businesses separately as Sweet Caroline Photo and Godkin Photo. After getting engaged in September 2011 we decided to join forces. We got married on July 27th, 2013. After having worked with us for 4 years, Eric Kotara, became an addition to the Caroline+Ben family in 2013 as an associate shooter.
How do you handle destination weddings? Since we likely will not be able to meet in person we are always happy to set up a Skype consult to get to know each other before the big day. We like to arrive to the city 2 days before the wedding to assure that we will be there in case there are travel delays. At the time of booking we will let you know how much our travel fees are based on the estimated cost of flights, car rental (if necessary), and hotel. We handle all the bookings for travel so you do not have to worry about it.
What is your back-up plan? In the unlikely event that we would be unable to shoot your wedding due to something tragic we have a network of wedding photographers we can call in an emergency.
What is the album process? When the gallery is uploaded you will have the opportunity to select your favorites for the album. We recommend that album selections be made within 3 months of the wedding.
Who will be photographing our wedding? We offer packages with Caroline, Ben, & associate photographers. Every package includes an assistant photographer who covers different angles as well as assists with lighting during portraits. We also offer packages that include both Caroline and Ben. Your personal photographer will always be listed on your contract and you will work directly with them throughout the process.
How do we book? To reserve your wedding date we require a non-refundable retainer of 40% of your package price & a signed contract which can all be done online once we send over a booking proposal. For destination weddings we accept a 1/3 deposit, 1/3 at 6 months, and 1/3 at 3 weeks before the wedding date.
If my package includes the high-resolution images, why should I buy prints from you? The print still has it’s place in our world and we cannot stress this enough. Make prints of your photographs! It is still the best way to preserve your memories so you can share them with your children some day. That is why we offer printing services online, to make it as simple as possible for you or your family to order prints on high quality archival photographic paper. We have worked to make sure that photographs look the same way on our screen* as they do when our lab prints them.
How do we schedule a session with you? Because of our busy weekend schedule with weddings and destination weddings we only schedule portrait sessions between Monday-Thursday. We like to start sessions 2 hours before sunset for the best lighting.
What sort of equipment do you bring to a wedding?
