Lunar Eclipse: Dec. 21st 2010

As many of you might already know, there was a total lunar eclipse last night. This was the first time since 1638 that an eclipse coincided with winter solstice, making it a historic event.... We really wanted to watch, but here in Austin the cloudy cover obstructed our view, so we hopped in the Prius and headed west to try and beat the clouds. It was a race against time because the clouds were rolling west but we made it to Fredericksburg just in time during totality and were able to snap a few photos before the clouds came rolling back in. Here is the time lapse of our whole trip! It was about a 2 hour drive each way. Enjoy!
