Sorrento, Italy Wedding | Carla + Mike

We are so fortunate to know so many people all around the world. Carla & Mike are now included among those people. Both from England, they decided to have a destination wedding in Sorrento, Italy for the same reasons we had a destination wedding. For them, Sorrento is just as close as Costa Rica is to us. We met up with them for the first time at the rehearsal dinner two nights before the wedding and began the celebration with their friends & family in a beautiful Italian garden with house made wine. They had their ceremony at the Cloister of St. Francis in downtown Sorrento and the reception just outside of town at Hotel Relais Blu. The ceremony was completed mostly in Italian and translated to English and was a popular tourist attraction for everyone that happened to walk by! We walked the streets of Sorrento before heading to the reception in their tiny rented Italian Fiat. Carla took the back seat to avoid having to hang her beautiful gown out the window! The wedding reception overlooked the island of Capri which at sunset was absolutely breathtaking and ended poolside. We look forward to visiting these two in London next year :)
