Sample Wedding Album

I was so excited about my new sample album from Forbeyon that I just had to make a blog post about it! This is a 10×10 flush-mount album with Pearl leather (gorgeous soft leather), mahogany fabric, and 4.5 metal cameo with spine engraving. I also love the box I purchased for it from Loktah, I feel that it fits my style very well. I can’t wait to show this off at my next Austin wedding photography consultation. If you’d like to see the entire album layout for Martha & Jeff’s sample album click here.

and if you’d like more information on my the process of getting your own custom made album click here!

Round Top Festival Institute: Kimberly & Wesley’s Wedding

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I am so excited to see what is in store for 2010! Here is one of my last wedding’s of 2009.

Kimberley & Wesley got married on Dec. 12th 2009 at the Round Top Festival Institute in Texas. The Edythe Bates Old chapel is beautiful… a little small, but very authentic with a rich history. The wedding was great and despite foggy weather everything went according to plan. Kimberley and I grew up together in Bastrop, so it was a nice to know that I could be apart of her special day. I am so happy for both of them because I could tell that they found true love and will live a long a happy life together. Below are some of my favorite images from the wedding day as well as a slide show with more.

The Proposal: Engagement photography at the Captiol

This was the real deal people! Jeffery is a very romantic guy. He wanted to surprise his girlfriend by coming down to Austin to propose to her. They both live in Denver, CO but he called me up at the beginning of the week to ask me if I could document his romantic proposal in Downtown Austin. He flew in on Friday and we went downtown together to scout out the perfect location. We decided that the Capitol grounds in Austin would be the perfect setting for his surprise. After a nice dinner and a carriage ride through the streets of Austin, they ended up a the Capitol walkway. Meanwhile, I was hiding in the bushes capturing every moment! It was very exciting and challenging at the same time. IT WAS DARK! After all the excitement had settled, I came out of hiding to surprise her with a photo shoot! We had a blast and I am so happy for Jeffery and Gyovanna. Congrats!

Happy Holidays to everyone!!! Now is a time for family, friends and love. I hope you have plenty!

Austin Wedding Photography Slideshow: Jason & Sarah

I finally got to photograph Sarah & Jason’s wedding this past Saturday in Austin at Covenant Presbyterian Church! Sarah & Jason Slayden are two of the most amazingly, smart, talented, and sweet people I have ever met. I throughly enjoyed being half photographer/ half bridesmaid. I would not have been able to sit still had there been another photographer, it just had to be me:)   I have known Sarah since high school, we both sang in choir together, we became good friends our senior year and decided to move in together to the dorms at Texas State. I remember how excited we were to be bunking together and how nervous we were about starting our college classes. We didn’t live together long since sharing a tiny bedroom with one person isn’t conducive for keeping friendships (go figure) but it didn’t take long for us to be close again. She has ALWAYS been there for me, always…. and I remember the first time I met Jason, he just as goofy as she. He is an equally talented singer and there is no doubt in my mind that they will be doing wonderful things and despite being as far away as Cincinnati right now, they are life long friends.

I get pretty emotional when I start thinking about the wedding all over again- I have gotten used to the really emotional weddings, I hardly ever cry at them anymore, but I cried at the rehearsal dinner and during the ceremony. I couldn’t help it, the music was amazing and I know how much they really love each other. During the ceremony Sarah & Jason’s voice teacher from Texas State, Julie Wood, sang something beautiful- I couldn’t tell you what it was but anything that comes our of her mouth is beautiful. Because there were so many talented singers in attendance the church was filled with the most amazing sounding hymnals I have ever heard. During the reception Zach and Will (two of the groomsmen) sang some of my favorite classics like “The way you look tonight”. There’s nothing like hearing an amazing tenor voice in person, *sigh* it gives me butterflies;)    Sarah’s cousin, Tiffany, painted an AMAZING portrait of Sarah & Jason based on of the engagement photos I took. Last but not least, one more major props to Esther! The best wedding coordinator, planner, everything, & bridesmaid a girl could find.

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Slayden!!!!
