Sneak Peek: Maria & Ben’s wedding

I shot Maria and Ben’s wedding last night in Lampasas, TX. Maria is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! I can’t say much because I’m about to be on my way to McMurtrie Farms grand opening, where Ben & I will have a booth set up. After the opening we will be heading to Dallas for WPPI road show which starts at 8am tomorrow morning. It’s going to be a long day… did I mention I have 3 engagement sessions scheduled this week? Make that a long WEEK!

I’ll be posting the slideshow very soon though, my first wedding with my new Canon 5d markII and my awesome new audio equipment. (including sennhizer lapel mic and Zoom H4n)

Bastrop Wedding Photography-Sneak Peek: Marlene + Jonathan

Sneak peek from tonight’s wedding in Bastrop Texas, located just 30 mins south-east of Austin. The sunset was PERFECT and it just so happen to peak during the first dance between Marlene and Jonathan. Quiet possibly my favorite dance shot EVER!!! They got married at the Mckinney Roughs nature park in my home town. Really unique venue and I don’t think the evening could have turned out better. Congratulations to both of you! More to come from this wedding in the next couple days….;)I will have the complete mulit-media slide show ready soon, including the ceremony and the vows exchanged between bride and groom.

Austin Wedding Photography: Katie & Steven-9.19.09

On Saturday I shot Katie and Steven’s wedding at the Vista on Seward Hill. BEAUTIFUL Austin venue that I would highly recommend to people looking for an outdoor wedding venue. Anthony, the manager, did a great job DJing and coordinating the whole night. Katie & Steven were a very sweet couple who spent most of there reception making sure to talk to every single guest that attended, which I really admired. If I had to plan my wedding it would be a lot like this one.

I added a couple of the photos from the rehearsal dinner at Bistro 88. My photojournalist skills played a big part in this wedding (as well as the 135mm F2.0 lens), I captured a lot of smiling faces and I liked it:)

I also need to give props to one of the best officiants I have ever met, Kim Session, of Weddings to go, she made the ceremony really personal to the Katie and Steven, and custom wrote vows for them based on them as a couple. Truly touching.

I knew this was going to happen eventually… but I didn’t think it would happen so soon, at the very end of one of the speeches some interrupted, ‘Kanye style’, and announced that someone else had ‘one of the best weddings of the year’…

Austin Wedding Photography: Brandie + Daniel @ Shoreline Grill

Brandie and Daniel were married at the Shoreline Grill in Austin, Texas on September 19th 2009. They had a small, intimate wedding as apposed to a large extravagant one which might have distracted from the true purpose of the day… their love. It turned out to be a gorgeous day, I could really feel the love they shared. I decided to capture their vows on audio so they could relive that special day and always remember why they were brought together…
Here is the slide show from the wedding day which includes some photos, video, and audio fusion.

I was the only photographer at Brandie’s wedding so it was difficult at times to capture the audio, video and photos without missing a beat but I made it happen. It was a really small wedding at the Shoreline Grill in Austin, Texas which turned out really nice.

I used Adobe Premier CS4 to create the multimedia slide show. It was pretty tedious trying to make all the fades and sync up the audio but I have not found a better system yet.

Audio: Zoom H4n w/Sennheiser lav mics.
Video: Canon 5d MarkII
