Houston Engagement | Carla + Chris

On Sunday I went to Houston to shoot Chris and Carla’s engagements. We started at Eleanor Tinsley Park, walked to Allen’s Landing, and back during this two hour shoot. The weather was once again amazing and the trees have started to bloom again providing beautiful colors! Eleanor Tinsley Park is huge and a pretty cool place to shoot in Houston. It provides a good mix of urbanscapes and landscapes.
I told Chris and Carla that they simply should act as if they were a cute couple 24/7 for me, it made my job very easy because their love for one another was very obvious. I enjoyed shooting them and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding on May 24th!

Austin Wedding Photography: Jon & Sondra

Last Saturday I shot one of the most relaxing, beautiful outdoor weddings at the Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. Jon and Sondra created an atmosphere for their guest that was welcoming and relaxing. Friends and family stayed at the Ranch over the weekend allowing them plenty of time to hang out prior to the wedding. The weather could not have been more beautiful. I think it was 76 degrees, partly cloudy sky’s and a cool breeze.

The atmosphere was set by the live band playing a sweet melody throughout the evening. The catering provided by the fine chefs and servers at Southerns Fine Dining. was exquisite. The night was topped off by a wonderful slide show/documentary highlighting the lives of Jon and Sondra. It was truly fantastic and it brought smiles and tears to everyone’s eyes.
Caroline and I got some great photographs and enjoyed the wedding very much. I also took some video during the wedding and I will be putting together a slide show very soon… I will post it here in the next couple of days.

Bridal Photography: Audreys Portraits

On Friday, Caroline and I finally got the chance to shoot Audrey’s Bridal Portraits at the Ruby Ranch Lodge where she will be getting married in April. The weather was fantastic and we got some great environmental portraits around the ranch. We Started out inside by the large windows that overlook the wedding area outside. I wanted to showcase her beautiful silk dress in the best possible light. Then we headed outside as the sun was setting to capture that golden light.
